Sidereal Jyotish · Sri Lankan tradition
Your birth chart,
calculated properly.
A real sidereal chart from the Swiss Ephemeris — Lahiri ayanamsa, whole-sign rashi houses, nakshatra and pada, Vimshottari dasha. Not a generated horoscope, and not written by an AI. Every interpretation traces back to a documented rule.

Birth details
The rising sign changes roughly every two hours, so an accurate birth time matters more than anything else here. If you only know it approximately, say so — the reading will tell you which parts to trust.

What your chart says so far
What you get
Everything is calculated on our own server from real ephemeris data, and generated the moment your chart is ready — there is no queue and no astrologer waiting to write it.
A real chart
Lagna, all nine grahas, whole-sign houses, nakshatra and pada — computed with Swiss Ephemeris, not approximated.
Both chart formats
South Indian, as Sri Lankan practice uses it, or North Indian — switch between them at any time.
Dasha timing
Your Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha, with the balance at birth and the periods ahead.
Traceable reasoning
Every interpretation carries a rule identifier, and the appendix shows the exact settings used.
The twelve rashis
These are the sidereal signs, measured against the fixed stars. They do not line up with the date ranges printed in newspaper horoscopes, which use the tropical zodiac — which is exactly why your rashi is calculated from your birth chart rather than looked up from your birthday.
The full reading
Fourteen sections, written from your chart
The free chart gives you the calculation, the Lagna and the Moon. The full reading takes the same chart through every graha, all twelve houses, your Vimshottari dasha timeline and a technical appendix showing exactly how each conclusion was reached.
- Every graha in sign, house, nakshatra, dignity and drishti
- All twelve bhavas with their lords and occupants
- Work, relationships, resources and wellbeing — as reflection, never prediction
- Current mahadasha and antardasha, with the periods ahead
- Rahu–Ketu axis, mindful practices, and a full technical appendix
- Around 6,000 words, generated instantly and identically every time

How this is calculated
Sri Lankan practice, honestly labelled
Sri Lankan astrology shares its astronomy, its 27 nakshatras, its whole-sign houses and its Vimshottari dasha with Indian Jyotish. What differs is cultural and procedural: a Sinhala Buddhist framing, the South Indian square chart format, the twenty porondam rather than the North Indian eight kutas, and the place nekath holds in ordinary life.
Where a rule is specifically Sri Lankan, this site says so. Where it is pan-Jyotish, it says that instead. We do not present one as the other.
What we deliberately do not do
- No lifespan estimates, ever
- No health diagnosis, and nothing that would discourage seeing a doctor
- No claims about marriage, separation, fertility, or another person
- No porondam compatibility score — the tables genuinely differ between almanacs, and a number here can end a real engagement
- No gemstones, rituals or paid remedies
- No personalised nekath timings — that authority belongs to the published almanac and the practitioners who compute it
The Karma offers traditional Vedic and Sri Lankan astrology as spiritual reflection and entertainment. It is not medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice, and it is not a prediction of your future. Astrological interpretation is a cultural tradition, not an empirical science, and no outcome in your life is determined by your chart. If anything here leaves you anxious, please put it down and speak to someone you trust.
